Precisely at 11:59 am, one minute before the tickets went on sale, the platform just stopped working for a lot of people. The sudden uptick in traffic had overloaded the server. It was as if the entire fanbase was online at one time, all trying to grab tickets for Coldplay’s sold-out event. BookMyShow failed to keep up with it, and what resulted was a big technical failure.
Quite a few fans had been waiting for days and were left disappointed in the process. Some even joked on social media that this felt harder than getting admission to one of the top colleges in India!
